There is a saying I haven't heard in a while "keeping up with the Joneses" that many have bought into as a means to express self-worth and success. So often it was just for show while the inner being was empty. Jesus taught us reject the material means we use to try and show our worth and instead follow him where the love of God makes us more valuable than anything else in all creation.
Amen! Beautifully said. Our trophy breathes the Holy Spirit on us as we sleep and His Words shake us awake to the splendid glory of the resurrected Christ Jesus.
