Readers who dropped by earlier today saw a post containing my speculation that Doug White, former Ohio state senate president, had become the frontrunner to replace Representative Rob Portman, recently nominated by President Bush to become US fair trade ambassador, in the upcoming special election for Ohio's Second Congressional District seat.
