Lisa Remillard is a one-person newsroom for a cable news network or major magazine. Throughout the week, she produces reporting on the day's news historical background and links to germane documents. She gives clarity to every item on which she reports and does so fairly. I am hooked.
Former Republican Congressman courageously analyzes what's going on in our US political scene. He's down-to-earth and principled and brings the richness of his experience to what he presents here.
I've known Annie Gottlieb as a blogger and online friend for more than twenty years. You may not agree with her, but her writing is crisp, evocative, and has the power to make you think. One of my favorite people: though we may be miles apart on so many things, we have a mutual appreciation society. I think the world of Annie!
Yes, this is the Substack of my son, Pastor Philip Daniels. But he's a fine writer who draws not only on his Master's of Divinity degree, but also his Bachelor's degrees in History and Philosophy. He is widely read. His reflections on societal trends are intriguing and often eye-opening.
I've followed Chris Cilizza's writing, reporting, and political analysis from his time with the Cook Report to the Washington Post to CNN and, now to his work as an independent political journalist here on Substack. While much of his content is now behind a paywall, he also does really good freebies, including his brief video on weekday mornings. I've always been a Cilizza fan and am no less a fan here.
Pastor Volker Heide is an inspiring preacher of God's Law and Gospel who will deliver the freedom from sin and death Christ has sent His Church to deliver to all people...including you. I love to read his messages! I think you will too.
This is a project of Pastor Jacob Gudim in which he daily presents a section of 'The Book of Concord,' the lively , informative, inspiring basic confessional documents of the Lutheran movement. Give it a chance and see what God may do in you and with you to give you the free gift of faith in Christ and everlasting life through Him.
Austin Kleon doesn't need my recommendation; he's a Substack superstar. I first became acquainted with his books, onstensibly geared to artists of all kinds. But what he does often has broader application to the work of other people trying to connect with others: teachers, essayists, preachers. He will also help you journal your ideas and the things you learn and even to take courage to express yourself artistically.
