Ann told me the other day, “When we go to Costco tomorrow, you need to set an appointment to get your hearing checked.” To her surprise, when we were at the store, I approached a woman in the hearing department and asked to make an appointment.
“Have you been referred by your doctor?” the woman asked.
When I said I hadn’t, she handed a flyer to me. It had a QR code on it. “This code will take you to an online hearing test to determine if you have hearing loss or not.”
Last night, I scanned the code. It took me to a site where I answered a series of medical questions, then I was sent to the test. The results are above.
“I guess I should stop mumbling,” Ann said when she saw I’d passed the test. “Or,” I said, “don’t talk while walking away from me as the washer is in the spin cycle.” (Or, I probably should have added, while I’m thinking about something else because, as a man, I’m not good at multitasking.)
Husband wins are so rare; I had to share.
